What is it that fuels you to wake up every day? For me, it’s the Stock Market. Some may coin it as the financial markets as well, but overall it’s how money moves across the globe between individuals and corporations. My father got me started with investing as a young buck at age 15 when I moved down to South Florida in 2001 from North Carolina. Growing up as a military brat, I was always trained to be disciplined, focused and have goals. The financial markets were so intriguing to me for the fact that you can be your own boss, guide your own future and if you’re good enough can do it for a living.

This propelled me to go to school for finance and get a Bachelors in Business Administration with a double degree in finance and accounting. After graduating at the tail end of the recession in 2009 from the “Financial Crisis” debacle, I was a excited but jobless graduate. I then took the opportunity to back to school for my MBA with a concentration in finance. This opened up the door for me in the corporate world, but my passion was always trading. I have worked for big financial firms and in my early 20’s worked with proprietary trading firms. From developing their educational courses, running the trading floor, business development, and many other hats that were key to the business model. I also hold the AAMS® Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation.

The funny thing is during my 20’s I was developing my trading style, sitting in front of screens for countless hours looking at charts. Everyone that was around me knew I was the trader/investment guy. I went on to develop a trading course for myself but to also teach other individuals what I have learned over the years. It took me 5 months, long nights, and 260 pages or so of grind. I realized I was pretty good and getting my information out this way but also through educational videos on YouTube.

That is what now years later has fueled me to start ChannelGuyTrader.com. ChannelGuyTrader is truly my little passion project, gaining more and more traction each day.  The purpose is to help other individuals shorten their learning curve and learn how to help their money work for them. With that said, I hope you enjoy browsing my site and all of the unique content I have to offer. Take a look around; perhaps you’ll discover what fuels you as well. Read on and enjoy!
